As an experienced Reiki professional since 1986, I understand the importance of regular practice to help you overcome any challenges you may face. With that in mind, I highly recommend utilizing an easy-to-use and customizable Reiki timer to enhance your personal practice, and even to support group sessions for teachers.

After personally struggling to find a timer that met my needs, I took matters into my own hands and designed what I believe to be the ultimate solution: the Timer of Your Dreams!

This timer offers effortless setup and allows you to adjust your settings in a matter of seconds. Plus, one standout feature is that your phone remains active while the timer is in use, eliminating any concerns about it shutting off due to a closed screen.

This is the go-to Reiki timer that will serve you well for your daily self-practice, sharing treatments with friends or in Reiki circles, and facilitating group sessions while teaching classes or leading clinics.

Customization is a breeze with this timer, allowing you to tailor each session to your liking. Additionally, you have the option to practice in silence — my personal preference — or accompanied by the beautiful bansuri or shakuhachi flute played by renowned flutist Steve Gorn.

The countdown appears prominently on the screen, allowing you to easily track the time remaining for each interval. Furthermore, it conveniently displays which interval you're on, especially useful if you happen to doze off during your practice.

An elegant single chime marks the end of each interval, while a gently cascading sequence of three chimes signals the conclusion of your session — ideal for those moments when you may have unintentionally missed a chime or two due to drowsiness.

To begin using the timer, simply access the "Settings" tab and:

 <li>Select a prelude duration that allows you to settle comfortably before the timer starts.</li>
 <li>Choose the number of hand placement intervals you prefer.</li>
 <li>Select your desired duration for each interval.</li>
 <li>Customize your music preference.</li>
</ul>

Your chosen settings will be saved for easy future reference, enabling quick transitions between full practice and modified sessions. Who knows? You might even be inspired to replace your afternoon coffee break with a refreshing Reiki "nap" on the couch!

For added convenience, consider enabling notifications, as you will receive reminders even if the timer is not actively displayed on your screen. Simply respond affirmatively to both prompts when prompted.
